Rohit Sharma-led Team India registered a convincing series win over West Indies to begin their World Test Championship 2023-25 Cycle. After two successive days of rain, the second and final Test of the two-match series ended in a draw. However, India clinched the series having won the opening Test by an inning and 141 runs.

However, after three days of full game, the rain washed the second half of the fourth day, followed by persistent rains washing out the final day of the second Test at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain. Talking specifically, India were the clear favourites to sweep the series 2-0 but rain marred with the result going in draw.

After the conclusion of the two-match Test series, India sits at second place, below Pakistan with 66.67 percent and 16 points to their name. Babar Azam’s Pakistan sit above them having won a Test match series against Sri Lanka with 12 points and maintain a 100 percent win-loss record so far in the WTC 2023-25 Cycle.

 

Australia’s Ashes 2023 win put them in third place

 

After the fourth Test of the Ashes 2023 finishing in a drawn with rain playing a spoilsport, the Pat Cummins-led side retained the urn having won the first two Tests of the series by two wickets and 43 runs, respectively.  After two wins, one loss and one draw in the new WTC 2023 - 25 Cycle, Australia sits at third place with 54.17 percent and 26 points to their name.

 

On the other hand, Ben Stokes England are placed fourth with 29.17 percent and 14 points, followed by West Indies at fifth with 16.67 percent.
