The inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) is set to get underway in March. The tournament is set to begin on March 4. Five teams-Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals. Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz- assembled their squad after a tense WPL Auction on Monday. The WPL 2023 matches are set to be played in CCI Brabourne and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
All teams will play 4 home and 4 away games in the league stages. The top-3 sides will qualify for the next round with the table topper directly entering the WPL 2023 final. Meanwhile, the eliminator game will be played between the 2nd placed and 3rd placed teams.
Meanwhile, the schedule for the WPL 2023 has been announced. The opening game will be played between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians at DY Patil Stadium on March 4.
