Anticipation and excitement got all over X as the T20 World Cup 2024 winning team finally landed in India on Thursday, July 4. The Rohit Sharma-led side flew to Mumbai after receiving a warm welcome in the national capital, New Delhi. The 2024 World Cup winners met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over breakfast and flew to Mumbai for a ceremonial welcome. BCCI hosted an open-bus victory parade for the side from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium, followed by a felicitation ceremony at the stadium.
Ahead of the victory parade, the crowd started to gather at several spots at the Marine Drive, waiting to see a glimpse of their favourite cricketers. Not only this, but Mumbai echoed with the chants of “Mumbai ka Raja Rohit Sharma” as the squad was all set to share the happiness with fans in India.
Not only this, but fans took to social media to share their excitement for the victory parade.
Reportedly, team India travelled from Delhi to Mumbai in a special Vistara flight, UK1845, dedicated to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
