Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Indian cricketer, has been included in Mumbai’s squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2024-25 semi-final against Vidarbha. With the inclusion of the left-handed opener, the Mumbai cricket team has been bolstered immensely, especially since they already have Indian internationals, namely captain Ajinkya Rahane, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube and Shardul Thakur in their domestic red-ball squad for the ongoing tournament.

Notably, Yashasvi Jaiswal has already played a group stage match for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy last month, which they lost at home against Jammu & Kashmir, and following that, he was a part of the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against England. In the meantime, the 23-year-old, who was in the Indian preliminary 15-member squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, got demoted to the non-travelling reserves in favour of an extra bowler.

With that, Yashasvi Jaiswal could travel to Dubai in the UAE if the Indian cricket team needs him to be a part of the Champions Trophy squad in place of any of his teammates. Moreover, the youngster has his task cut out for him if he gets into the playing XI of Mumbai in the semi-final of the ongoing Ranji Trophy season against Vidarbha, who have been one of the most dominating teams in the tournament this time around.

Mumbai are the defending champions of the Ranji Trophy after they had coincidentally defeated Vidarbha in the final of last season.

Below is Mumbai’s squad for Ranji Trophy semi-final against Vidarbha:
