Nate Diaz has backed the Conor McGregor super fan who believes Khabib Nurmagomedov ‘ducked’ a rematch between the pair when he retired in 2020. The Khabib and Conor duo fought in 2018, with the former having the upper hand and winning the fight by way of fourth-round submission. That particular feud was defaced by an ugly build-up that resulted in McGregor being put behind bars after attacking a bus of fighters before a press conference.
Being one of the most infamous incidents in the history of the UFC, the feud between the pair never seemed to blow out. Recently, the self-styled McGregor super fan, McGregor Rousey took to social media to make a joke about Khabib, which was later backed by Nate Diaz.
Notably, a new documentary entitled ‘McGregor Forever’ has been aired on Netflix, McGregor Rousey, on his social media, commented on Khabib, saying, "After watching the new McGregor documentary I can confidently say that Khabib ducked the rematch." What caught everyone’s eyes was the American MMA fighter Nate Diaz’s comment under the post as he wrote, "Yes, Khabib's a p*ssy".
Notably, Diaz has never been fond of Khabib, insisting that he is a superior fighter. However, his assertion was made despite the fact that the pair never was close to fighting.
Diaz is currently prepping for his boxing debut, where he will lock horns with Jake Paul, later this year, in Texas. Time and again, He and McGregor have been supportive of each other and had a common disliking for Khabib. The Russian fighter hung up his gloves in 2020 after his mother insisted that he retire, post his father’s death.
