The Rohit Sharma-led Team India sealed their place in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 with a convincing 70-run win over 2019 finalists, New Zealand. After winning the toss, the Men in Blue posted 397 runs on the board, courtesy a record-breaking century knock from Virat Kohli and also back-to-back centuries for Shreyas Iyer.

While they were in a state of trouble with Daryl Mitchell looking set in the middle, playing a 134-run knock off 119 deliveries, a seven-wicket haul from Mohammad Shami sealed the game for the hosts. Although there were some good performances by several other players on the field, it was Virat Kohli’s 50th ODI ton to surpass the ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar that stole the limelight.
Things did not rest here as the star couple - Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were seen chasing the spotlight for several mesmerising moments. Soon after India’s win, the Bollywood actress and wife of Virat Kohli, took to social media to express her love for one of the greats of the game.

The Chakda ‘Xpress actress concluded by calling Virat “truly gods child” as she shared the Indian team image calling them a “Gun team” and hailing Shami for his brilliant performance with the ball.
The Men in Blue will now take on the winner of South Africa versus Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19 in the ultimate clash of the tournament.
