A championship is an ultimate goal for NBA players as they put a lot of effort into it every season by playing an 82-match long regular season to qualify for the playoffs. But not everyone is given the chance to lift the Larry O'Brien NBA championship trophy. Some of the league's top players have never received a championship ring and among them is Phoenix Suns' Chris Paul.
Despite being recognized as one of the greatest floor generals of all time, the point guard has only made it to the NBA Finals once and has yet to claim a championship and both he and his family have suffered as a result. While speaking on a podcast, Paul disclosed that his daughter had experienced bullying at school as a result of his lack of championship achievement. The 38-year-old claimed that a student at her school had told her that her father would never be the winner of a ring.
During the Pivot Podcast session, Chris Paul said, "(My daughter) at the age now where at school kids talk crazy to her. She had a little boy at school that said some reckless stuff to her was like, 'Your daddy ain't never gon' win no championship."

The 18-year league veteran has had many highs and lows. He has both been the franchise player and played with All-Star teammates. But after playing in the NBA for 18 years, he has never won the Larry O'Brien trophy. Paul came close when the Phoenix Suns led the Milwaukee Bucks 2-0 in the NBA Finals of 2021 but Giannis Antetokounmpo took control during that period, denying Paul his greatest opportunity to win a championship.
