India recently registered a clean sweep in the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The Men in Blue, who under the leadership of Rohit Sharma registered a comfortable six wicket win in the first and second T20Is, but the third win did not come easy for sure. However, the Rohit Sharma and Co. had the last laugh after two enthralling Super Overs.
Skipper Rohit Sharma, who came into the third T20I on the back of getting out on duck in first two matches, stitched an unbeaten 190-run stand with Rinku Singh for the fifth wicket to put up a strong total. The two posted the highest-ever partnership registered by an Indian batting pair in T20Is. However, this time it was Virat Kohli who returned on golden duck after having scored 29 runs in the second T20I.
Indian cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been out of the scheme for Team India since long now, shared a post on X, speaking of high respect for Rohit Sharma. While he spoke of Rohit’s masterclass in Bengaluru, indirectly hitting out at former skipper Virat Kohli, who failed to perform in front of his home IPL crowd. “Rohitaaa sharammaaa owning Bengaluru ��� What a knock”.
However, this tweet did not rest well even with the fan as they chipped in with their opinions, hitting out at Royal Challengers Bangalore for sacking Yuzvendra Chahal. Check out the reactions from the fan here:
While the Rohit Sharma & Co. played their final T20I series ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to take place in West Indies and the USA, they will now host England in a five-match Test series, starting January 25th.
