As India and Sri Lanka clashed with each other in 2nd T20I on Saturday, there was one more national team playing few kilometers away from Dharamshala. India’s Hockey team were in action in Bhubaneshwar where both men’s and women’s sides were up against Spain in FIH Hockey Pro League 2021-22.
The first match of the day saw Women in Blue coming from a goal behind to register an impressive 2-1 win, on the back of goals from Jyoti and Neha. The men’s team followed a similar style to earn victory in their match, however their comeback was a bit way too dramatic.
Indian men’s team win match with goal in dying moments
After Spain took lead in 14th minute, Harmanpreet Singh scored an equalizer in next few seconds. However, this is when the visitors wreaked havoc! Marc Miralles scored a brilliant hattrick to make it 4-1 for his side with only 20 minutes left on clock.
Then, it was time for India to produce magic. Goals from Shailanand Lakra, Shamsher Singh and Varun Kumar got the home side right back into contest before Harmanpreet Singh scored the winner in dying moments of the match, with only 4-5 seconds left.
🇮🇳🤯 WHAT A THRILLER! India comeback from 1-4 down to win the game 5-4 by scoring the winner in the last minute of the game.

It was indeed the kind of performance by Team India which was required to make a statement to fans that if they get the support from them, they can achieve great things on the field in Hockey.
