Danushka Gunathilaka was initially charged with four counts of sexual intercourse under New South Wales law.
Gunathilaka was part of the Sri Lankan team during the 2022 T20 World Cup when he was arrested on Sussex Street, Sydney on November 6.
The left-hand batter was involved in a similar incident in 2018, following a suspension from the Sri Lanka Cricket.
