Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali got into a violent verbal fight with umpire during an Lanka Premier League match between Dambulla Aura and Colombo Strikers on August 5. Bowling in the 17th over of the second innings, Ali conceded a boundary against Nuwanidu Fernando. Then before delivering the next ball, Hasan Ali was seen aggressively engaged with the umpire.
Later the heated exchange sees the official accidentally touched the Pakistan pacer which further charged up Ali. For these actions, Ali received one demerit point and was fined 15 percent of his match fees for engaging in a heated argument with the umpire.
