For someone who had a very notable season as seen earlier this year where the Indian Premier League was concerned, Prabhsimran Singh of Punjab has decided to continue his golden streak of run making well into the present from where he left off in the IPL. He scored, it ought to be remembered, 510 runs from 14 matches for his Punjab Kings side and just recently made a big splash, perhaps the biggest of them all in Punjab-bound Sher-e-Punjab League!

So the big question is, how did he do that and just what did Prabhsimran Singh achieve with the bat in hand?

Captaining the warriors side, the man widely described as an attacking batter who doesn’t take too long to go into his explosive mode, struck 125 unbeaten runs in a recent memorable win for his team.

However, that’s not all. While it’s one thing to score a hundred and ever more difficult to do so where it comes to T20 cricket. It’s quite another to remain unbeaten whilst scoring a century. That’s what Singh, the right hander did when he took just 47 deliveries to score that many runs.

And let us make no mistake. That are many runs indeed. As a matter of fact, even this bit of blazing statistic doesn’t really add up to describe the Herculean effort – and it really was- in Prabhsimran Singh’s case. The fact that his side were chasing 265 for a win happens to explain the sheer statistical might of his knock.

With strokes all around the park and attacking hits to all sides of the ground, it can be said that the Sher-e-Punjab league was truly brought out live by a significant century and one riddled by courage.
