The Indian Premier League 2022 is now just days away and the all 10 teams are gearing up for the marquee event. With 9 out of 10 teams already announcing their captain for 2022 season, all eyes have been set on only one franchise - The Royal Challengers Bangalore. Since the inception, a total of 6 captains have led the franchise including the likes of Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble. With Virat Kohli leading the side for many years, nobody expected him to leave the captaincy post 2021 season.
Before the second-leg of IPL 2021, Virat announced that he would like to play as a batsman with the franchise and give captaincy duties to someone else. It is known that Virat Kohli took this decision because of workload management. Till then, Virat Kohli and his fans expected him to continue as India's ODI & Test captain. However, because of the string of events, Virat lost ODI & Test captaincy as well.
Now, the big question comes - Will Virat Kohli take the captaincy duties at RCB again with 'workload' not being at the same level as it could have been? According to a tweet which is going viral on Twitter suggests so. It says that Virat Kohli's resignation is yet to be accepted by the franchise.
