Preview:
The World T20 Cup is all set to get a new winner. Neither of the two finalists- New Zealand or Australia have ever clinched a World T20 Cup. For the Kiwis, this is perhaps even a bigger opportunity. This is because they will have a chance to win their first-ever World Cup across the white-ball formats. They have been one of the better multi-format teams in recent years and have made it to the World T20 Cup final after losing out narrowly in the 50 Overs World event and winning the Test Championship.
For Australia, this could be their resurgence in world cricket having last won a World trophy back in 2015. They are the most successful side in the 50-over format but could take this win into the next World T20 Cup in their home conditions and try and replicate the success in the 50-over format in 2023.

Analysis:
With Devon Conway out injured, it could be a difficult pick among the wicketkeepers. However, with Matthew Wade coming on the back of a match-winning innings against Pakistan in a knock-out match, he could be a safe bet. Tim Seifert last played a game on October 26 and it would not be easy for him to get going straight away even if he replaces Conway in the batting order. The in-form options from the batting order of both the teams are Martin Guptill, Daryl Mitchell, Kane Williamson, David Warner, Aaron Finch who have scored the highest runs.
Warner seems to have got his prime touch back. However, if few Aussie wickets fall early on, it won't be a bad idea to have Steve Smith in the team but he is a high-risk option, much like Glenn Maxwell who is yet to score his first six in the World Cup. Yet Maxi won't be that bad an option especially because he has been bowling 2-3 overs for his side on a regular basis now. Ideally, choose one between him and Mitchell Marsh with New Zealand's James Neesham in good form after his heroics with the bat the other day. That could give the side the balance.
Adam Zampa and Trent Boult have been the highest wicket-takers for their respective sides heading into this game and can be coupled with Mitchell Starc, Trent Boult and Ish Sodhi depending upon an individual's reading of the surface. Wait for the toss before finalising the XI, especially the bowlers for the evening. This is because bowlers expected to bowl in the second half of the second innings could find it difficult because of the dew.
