As Shreyas Iyer got set to make his Test debut, he received some amazing support from the Uttar Pradesh fan army. The chant "10 rupaye ki pepsi, Iyer bhai sexy" erupted the stadium as the youngster got the encouragement from his fans in Kanpuriya style.

Iyer scores 105 off 171 on Test debut
The support from fans certainly seemed to have a positive impact on Shreyas Iyer as he went on to play a special knock in his first outing in whites for India. The right-handed batsman reached his fifty on Day 1 before converting it to a hundred on Friday.
Iyer's positive intent and approach was something that delighted everyone as he scored 105 off 171 deliveries, which included 13 boundaries and 2 sixes. He was eventually dismissed by Tim Southee as he went back to the pavilion amid huge applause from the crowd.
A heroic show with the bat from the youngster certainly helped India post a competitive total of 345 in the first innings against New Zealand. While all the other batters failed to convert their impressive starts, Iyer was notably the only one to take his score past the three-figure mark.
