Rohit Sharma-led India have been almost knocked out of Asia Cup 2022 after they lost to Sri Lanka in their second Super 4s match on Tuesday. It was almost a repeat telecast of the first Super 4 match against Pakistan where India lost in the last over. After two defeats, India sit at the bottom of the points table and stare at the exit doors.

There have been quite a few reasons for India’s two losses. In the match against Pakistan, India posted a decent total (181/7) but could not defend it. Bowlers not turning up the way should have been, was one of the reasons while a dropped catch from Arshdeep Singh was another. The young pacer could not sustain the pressure and dropped Asif Ali in the 18th over which proved costly as the batter went on to score 16 off 8.

This drop and the lost match made Arshdeep a villain for a few Indian cricket team fans as they targeted the 24-year-old on many fronts, his religion is one of them. Arshdeep was brutally trolled on social media. But one of the ‘fans’ had the guts to hurl abuses at the Indian cricketer in person when Arshdeep was boarding the team bus after the match against Sri Lanka.

A video is going viral on social media in which a man is heard abusing Arshdeep when he is just about to step inside the bus. The cricketer even stops and stares at him for a while but then decides to ignore him. However, the journalists standing around there did not look in any mood to go it unnoticed as one of them scolded the man. Others also joined in and then complained to security personnel standing there.

The man was eventually asked to leave and the journalist who confronted him was also asked to calm down by others present there.
