Virat Kohli has been scripting history with every knock and firming his presence in the history books with utmost ease. The 34-year-old is one of those rare players whose fandom goes beyond any boundary and border. While Virat Kohli is yet to play his maiden match in Pakistan, cricket fans in the neighboring country have often expressed their admiration and love for the legendary batter.
A fresh incident during 2nd Test between Pakistan and England at Multan, added yet another testimony of Virat Kohli’s growing stature in world cricket. The picture, which shows two fans holding ‘we love you king Kohli’ placard and urged the Indian batter to ‘come and play Asia Cup 2023’ in Pakistan. “We will love you more than our King Babar,” read another placard.

Speaking of the Asia Cup 2023, the hosting rights of the continental tournament has become a matter of verbal tussle between Pakistan Cricket Board chief Ramiz Raja and BCCI secretary and Asia Cricket Council president, Jay Shah. Despite ACC has named Pakistan as the official host of the Asia Cup 2023, Jay Shah, ACC chair announced that India will not travel to Pakistan and the tournament will be played on a neutral venue.
The statement didn’t go down well with the PCB Chief Ramiz Raja, as the latter threatened to boycott the 2023 ODI World Cup in India if the Men in Blue refuse to come to Pakistan.
“India has its own implications. But, if other teams followed their path and decided not to travel Pakistan, then we will not participate in the continental tournament,” Ramiz Raja said. Notably, India’s last visit to Pakistan came way back in 2008 Asia Cup.
