India’s defeat to England in the semifinals of the T20 World Cup caused a massive uproar in the country. While many demanded an overhaul to the T20I setup, a few asked captain Rohit Sharma to be sacked. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to take a decision. The Indian cricket board has been planning a review meeting with the captain, coach Rahul Dravid, and senior batter Virat Kohli.

However, due to the packed schedule and the unavailability of some top board officials, the meeting was not held. Nevertheless, BCCI is holding its Apex Council Meeting on Wednesday (21 December) and a review of India’s performance at the T20 World Cup 2022 is also due to take place in the same meeting. Many more big decisions are on the cards.

So, stay tuned to this live blog for minutely updates around the meeting.
