Indian skipper Rohit Sharma at that time recorded the joint-fastest century with David Miller from just 35 balls in T20I history against Sri Lanka at Indore in 2017. India’s tour of England 2018 started with a three-match series, where the series stood leveled by a 1-1 margin after the first two matches hence the 3rd T20I match happened to be a series decider where India needed 199 runs to win. Rohit Sharma as an opener smashed a century in 56 balls and ensured India chased this huge total and helped them win this three-match series by a 2-1 margin.

Indian team under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy once again whitewashed West Indies by a 3-0 margin in the three-match T20I series and notably, in the 2nd T20I match at Lucknow Rohit went on to become the first batsman to smash four centuries in T20Is and also as captain, he smashed his second century to ensure India won this match convincingly by 71 runs against the Caribbeans.
