The Indian Premier League is just around the corner and the hype about the same is unmatched. There is an added excitement for this year's tournament as the Indian T20 League is returning to India after a one-and-a-half-year hiatus and that too with fans at match venues. With the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic on the decline, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to allow some fans at stadiums.
In the few initial games, a 25% crowd will be allowed to watch the game live from the ground. Tickets for the same have also started to go on sale. While the slots are getting full at an unmatched pace, some fans are heard complaining about the prices for this year's match tickets. A few users pointed out the hike in prices done by the organizers and called it "unacceptable".
"Wtf are the prices of IPL matches man? 3k starting at Wankhede and Brabourne? IPL is back with fans after 2 years and they have kept prices so high. Unacceptable man," wrote a user on Twitter.
A few other users also joined to criticize the organizers for unreasonably hiking the prices. Check out some other reactions on Twitter.
