India won the toss in the second T20I vs Sri Lanka and as was expected invited the Lankans to have a bat first on what was a very competitive surface. Pathum Nissanka's solid knock along with Danushka Gunathilaka's powerful aided the visitors off to a good start with Dasun Shanaka's quick-fire 47* in the slog overs, ensuring that Sri Lanka post a challenging 183/5.

In response, it wasn't the best of starts by the Men in Blue as they lost skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan early. However, batters like Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja hammered Sri Lankan bowlers to all corners of the ground to make a mockery out of a huge target like 184.

India also achieved a new feather in the cap by winning yet another 3-match T20I bilateral series at home. Sri Lanka unlike the previous game showed some fighting spirit in the second game but it wasn't enough against a powerful side like India.
