Virat Kohli is set to become the 12th Indian batter to play 100th Test match. When Kohli will walk out in the Mohali Stadium on Saturday, the whole cricketing fraternity will be on its feet, applauding the 30-year-old batter for achieving this rare feat in his illustrious career. Kohli has shattered several records and brought numerous laurels to the nations in his career, and on the eve of the 100th Test match, India’s former cricketers took their turns to express their admiration for the legend of the game.

On Friday, India’s former cricketer, Irfan Pathan, took to Twitter and hailed Kohli for conquering the most extended format of the game. He wrote, “Test cricket was limping & that’s when it found a magical physio in Virat Kohli. He came, conquered, & He made everyone love test cricket all over again! Congratulations @imVkohli on your remarkable achievement.”

However, the game will have the crowd in 50 per cent capacity, which was earlier restricted in the historic match. Earlier, Punjab Cricket Association cited COVID restrictions and BCCI guidelines for not allowing crowds in the game. But on Tuesday, PCA was instructed by BCCI to make necessary changes and let the crowd present for special occasion.
