The highly-anticipated Indian Premier League is set to kick off from March 26, and on Wednesday, BCCI announced the complete schedule for the franchise tournament. While the tournament will start with Chennai Super Kings locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL’s new entrant Lucknow Super Giants will start their maiden campaign against Gujarat Giants on March 28 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Earlier, RPSG Group bought the rights for the Lucknow franchise for approximately Rs. 7,090 crore making it the most expensive franchise in IPL history. KL Rahul led side secured the services of some top-notch players in the two-day IPL auctions and will be hoping to kick start the tournament in style when they take on another new entrant Gujarat Giants.
