The T20 World Cup 2024 clash between South Africa and the Netherlands lived up to the hype with the Proteas battling out to chase 104 as they were reduced to 12-4 thanks to a brilliant opening bowling burst by the Dutch. After winning the toss, South Africa put forth a brilliant bowling effort to restrict the Netherlands to 103-9 in the first innings.
Ottneil Baartman was the pick of the South African bowlers as he picked up four wickets while giving away only 11 runs. After this incredible effort, the Netherlands also started off brilliantly in the field as the duo of Vivian Kingma and Logan Van Beek ripping apart the Proteas' top-order.
