The schedule and groups for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup have been announced. 32 teams will be competing this year to secure qualification for next year’s cup competition. The teams will be divided into eight groups. Eight groups will have four teams and one group will have three. The winners of each group, along with the runners-up of seven groups, will advance to the main tournament.

The host of the Cup is yet to be decided with Indonesia, Mongolia, Iran and Uzbekistan all sending bids to host.  India is in a group with Myanmar, Tajikistan and Palestine. Defending champions Japan is in a group with Australia and Taiwan. The Indian team will play its qualifiers in Tajikistan from October 7 to 11.

Group A: Thailand (H), Turkmenistan, Hong Kong, China 

Group B: Indonesia (H), Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Macau 

Group C: Islamic Republic of Iran, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan (H), Maldives

Group D: Vietnam, Korea Republic, Nepal, Mongolia (H) 

Group E: Tajikistan (H), Myanmar, Palestine, India 

Group F: Kuwait, Bahrain (H), Timor-Leste, Brunei Darussalam 

Group G: Uzbekistan (H), Iraq, Malaysia, Cambodia 

Group H: Japan, Chinese Taipei (H), Australia


(H) means that the country will be hosting the qualifying games
