Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant met a young fan in Melbourne, and their adorable conversation quickly went viral on social media. Notably, the Indian team is sweating hard in Melbourne ahead of the fourth Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 Test. The ongoing edition of the Border Gavaskar Trophy is currently tied at 1-1 after the third Test at The Gabba ended in a draw. On the sidelines of India’s practice session, the cricketer met a young fan who expressed her happiness on meeting the Indian star.
In a video doing rounds on social media, the batter was seen posing with the fan and keenly listening to her adorable message. Not only this, but the batter also exchanged pleasantries and definitely won his fan’s heart with his humility. The fan said, “Hi, it’s good to meet you Rishabh. It’s the first cricketer whom I’ve ever met up close.” Pant replied, “Nice to see you, lovely meeting you. I hope you have more fun in your life, always be happy.”
Rishabh Pant’s form slump in Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25
The 27-year-old batter has not been in his best of forms in the ongoing edition of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. In the past three matches and five innings, he could only contribute 96 runs to India’s scores. Pant’s average in the series is 19.20 with the highest score of just 37. Pant came on the back of a brilliant form after he finished as the highest run scorer in the three-match series against New Zealand with 261 runs.
On his comeback, Pant came up with a remarkable century with an innings of 109 against Bangladesh in Chennai. However, it seems that Pant isn’t quite ready to face Australian bowlers right now. Australian skipper Pat Cummins in particular emerged to be Pant’s biggest nightmare in the series, after he dismissed him three out of five innings.
