The surprising turn of events happened after Yamila Rodriguez was accused of having sentiments against the Argentine FIFA World Cup-winning captain Lionel Messi, which she vehemently defended herself against.

Notably, during the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, a picture of Yamila Rodriguez surfaced on the internet in which she had the tattoo of CR7 on her left shin. It led to the Argentine defending herself by saying, “Please, let’s put an end to this. I’m going through a tough time. At what moment did I say I was anti-Messi?”

On Wednesday, January 24, she sent out a post on her official Instagram account to celebrate her birthday by posting a picture of CR7 cake, captioning the post, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEE. Thank you, God for one more year of life. Thank you so much family for the surprise I loved my cake.”

Cristiano Ronaldo was on a tour with Al-Nassr to play a couple of friendlies against the Chinese clubs Shanghai Shenhua and Zhejiang FC, which got postponed due to an injury to the Portuguese football star. The 38-year-old was in a press conference where the organisers in Shenzhen, China, announced their decision to cut short the trip to Al-Nassr, which gained 20 million views and counting.
During this press conference, Cristiano Ronaldo had also apologised to the Chinese fans for not being able to play football in front of them due to injury. He was quoted as saying, “I apologise to all the Chinese fans, I know they are all sad, and so am I.”
