The 16-member Indian Archery contingent for the Asian Games 2023 has brought nine medals for India including five gold medals, and two silver and bronze medals each. On Day 14 at the Asian Games 2023, Indian archers bagged four medals as Jyothi Surekha and Ojas Deotale clinched gold medals in the Women's and Men's compound individual events in Archery.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X and congratulated Jyothi Surekha for winning her third gold medal at the ongoing Asian Games 2023. PM Modi wrote, "Another proud moment for India! Congratulations to @VJSurekha for clinching her third Gold Medal at the Asian Games in Compound Archery. Her dedication and skill continue to make the nation proud."

PM Modi also congratulated Ojas Deotale, who also won his third gold medal at the Asian Games 2023, on his gold-winning achievement in the Men's compound individual event.

Apart from them, Abhishek Verma won the silver medal in the men's compound individual event while  Aditi Gopichand Swami bagged a bronze medal in the women's compound individual event. PM Modi also congratulated Abhishek and Aditi for their achievements.

India has won 100 medals at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou on Saturday. This is the first time India won medals in three digits and the country is currently placed at the fourth spot with 25 gold medals, 35 silver medals, and 40 bronze medals.
