In the ODI World Cup 2023, Pakistan have fallen to three consecutive losses which came against India, Australia, and Afghanistan, after two wins to kick-off their campaign. The inconsistency of the Men in Green has coincided with their captain Babar Azam struggling for big scores, while his captaincy on the field has been a lot left to be desired.

As per the screenshot shared by the sports journalist Himanshu Pareek on X, the profile details on the Wikipedia page of Babar Azam read, “Mohammad Babar Azam (born 15 October 1994), also known as Zimababar, is a Pakistani international cricketer and captain of the Pakistan national cricket team in all formats, and is widely regarded as one of the finest batters in contemporary world cricket.”

With their back against the walls in the ODI World Cup 2023, Pakistan needs their talisman Babar Azam to step up with the bat and as the leader of the team, to give them the best possible chance to make the semi-finals. They are yet to face South Africa, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England in the remainder of the matches during the round robin stage of the quadrennial spectacle.
