The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just round the corner and all ten franchises have hit the ground ahead of the 2024 edition. While some of the key players have already joined their respective franchises; a few of them are yet to make their appearance.
Out of all these franchises, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is one of them who will have all their players available for the upcoming edition before March 19 as they are set to bring in some massive changes at the RCB Unbox event, scheduled to take place on March 19.
However, in the latest update, the franchise has hinted of a possible name change. In the latest video shared by the franchise across its social platforms, starring South star Rishabh Shetty, has hinted on its name change from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. “Understood what Rishabh Shetty is trying to say? In the video, the Kannada star is seen approaching three buffaloes with three different herders, baring the words ‘Royal’, ‘Challengers’ and ‘Bangalore’. The famed actor tells the third herder to take the buffalo with ‘Bangalore’ written away, bringing in the speculations.
However, the final outcome will be revealed on March 19 at the RCB Unbox event, it is to be noted that the home fans have been long waiting for the team to be renamed to Bengaluru.

However, the franchise is also set to unveil their jersey for the upcoming edition of the tournament, this teaser, tarring the Kantara actor has got the fans swayed away. Although, majority of them got it to be the name change for Bangalore to Bengaluru, a few others speculated that it could also be a logo change, like it happened in 2020.
