The newest season of BGMI, which is a rebranded version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), which was banned by the Indian government in 2020 over security concerns, is finally live on the game, and players can enjoy the newest changes made by the game. The season has begun on Monday and will go on for the next month, until October 21.

After a 10-month hiatus due to the ban, BGMI finally returned to India on May 19th, 2023. BGMI was made available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store again, with all the previous data and progress of the users intact. Krafton also introduced some new features and updates to celebrate the re-launch of the game, such as new skins, outfits, weapons, vehicles, modes, and events.

Let’s take a look at the new features of BGMI this season:

  • A brand-new reporting mechanism that is intended to increase game safety for all players and keep the game free from hackers.
  • A newly introduced ranking scheme that aims to boost competition.
  • A brand-new method of pairing players with comparable skill levels to enhance competitiveness.

Every tier has a separate set of perks and the rewards get better as you move up the tiers. Gun skins, clothes, and other in-game stuff are among the awards. Players are dropped to a lower tier at the conclusion of each season of ranked competition. The tier that players are reset to is determined by their final season rank. Players are reset to Platinum I after they attain the Conqueror tier.
