Along with batting and bowling, fielding is another major essential skill that can change the dynamic of the game at any point of time. While it might look as fielding only involves catching and stopping the ball, a slight error in timing can lead to disastrous results and flip the game in favour of any team. The same happened in one of the games of European Cricket Series, where bizarre misfielding by the team cost them the victory.
In a video doing rounds on social media, the fielders’ failure at catching the ball resulted in the win of their rivals, who were in need of three runs off two deliveries to emerge victorious in the game. In the match, the wicketkeeper failed to stop the ball as it came off hitting the batters’ bat. Later, in a comedy of errors, fielders’ standing at various positions tried their best to stop the ball, but it ended up hitting the boundary.

The misfield resulted in an early win for the batting side, leaving the bowling side disappointed by how the victory got snatched away from them in a matter of seconds. The video of the incident went viral on social media in no time, amassing several likes and views in a few hours.
