Former Australian c ricketer, Brett Lee has a piece of advice for the young cricketer and IPL 2023 debutant Arjun Tendulkar after he conceded 31 runs in an over in recent Mumbai Indians match. Arjun made his debut in the cash-rich league in the 16th edition of the tournament, and after having a good start to the tournament, the young cricketer was smashed for 31 runs in an over. However, Lee has advised Tendulkar that he doesn’t need to listen to the critics and pay his attention to whatever is being said on social media.
The 23-year-old cricketer has caught the attention of former Australian speedster, Brett Lee, who has some advice for the rising star. In a recent discussion, Brett Lee has said that the 31-run incident will surely act as a learning experience for junior Tendulkar. He explained that it is a part or parcel of the game and the process of learning keeps going. Lee was all praise for the young cricketer and said that he was impressed with Tendulkar’s ability to work well with both the new and the old ball as well.
Advicing Tendulkar, Lee said, "People criticise almost everything. If you look at Sandeep Sharma, he has been bowling at 120 kph. Arjun is at least bowling way faster than that." "He is only 23 years of age and he has got his whole career ahead of him. My advice will be don't listen to critics. Like his dad had to go through like he misses out and gets a low score...you got to back yourself," Lee continued.
He further added, "So my advice would be to keep doing what you have been doing and don't listen to those people who are trying to have a go at him because remember most people who will criticise on social media have never bowled a ball in their life. They are keyboard warriors."
Notably, after being associated with Mumbai Indians for two years, Arjun Tendulkar has made his debut in the Indian Premier League in its 16th season. Speaking of his team, Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Gujarat Titans on April 25 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
