Shikhar Dhawan-led India beat South Africa by seven wickets in the second ODI on Sunday (9 October). There were multiple heroes for the Men in Blue in the seven-wicket win. While Mohammed Siraj starred for India with the ball, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan did the job with the bat. Both the batters completely dominated the opposition bowlers as they put together 161-run for the third wicket.

While Kishan departed seven runs short of his maiden ODI century, Iyer stayed till the end and ensured India won the game. The right-handed batter scored 113* and took his team over the line. Sanju Samson also chipped in with a handy 30* (36) and saw India winning this time (as he could not finish the game for India in the 1st ODI).

With India winning the game by a comfortable margin and levelling the three-match series, fans showered praise on the players. While a few heaped praises on local boy Ishan Kishan, some lauded Iyer for his calm and composed approach to the chase. Many also pointed out that Siraj could have been the Player of the Match for his match-changing spell.
