The Caribbean Premier League returns for the 2023 season in August. The T20 tournament is set to begin on Aug 16 and the finale will be played on September 24. This will be the 11th edition of the CPL, the first one being held in 2013. Six teams will be taking part in CPL 2023. The tournament will be held in the double round-robin format and the playoffs.
Each team will face each team twice in the league stage and then the top four placed teams in the points table will proceed to the playoffs. The tournament is set to be held in 5 different countries this year. Jamaica Tallawahs are currently the defending champions of the CPL, having won the last edition in 2022.

CPL 2023 will be played from August 16 to September 24 and it will be held across five different countries in the Caribbean.
Which teams will be participating in the CPL 2023?
The tournament includes six franchises with 15 contracted players each, including a maximum of five international players and four players under the age of 23.[12] Each team has one local and one international franchise player. The names of the teams are Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Jamaica Tallawahs, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Saint Lucia Kings and Trinbago Knight Riders.
