Manchester United legend and Inter Miami owner David Beckham is currently away on vacation with his family and is seen to be enjoying his time. He is visiting the Island of Sipan in the Dubrovnik area of Croatia. But recently, some images grabbed a lot of attention when he was spotted alongside Croatia's star midfielder Luka Modric.
Luka Modric has been linked with moves outside Los Blancos for the past few seasons. He was allegedly offered deals by Saudi Arabian clubs, but he chose to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu. With Real Madrid, Modric has resumed playing, though not as frequently as he might have wanted. The Croatian has reportedly been told by Carlo Ancelotti that his position will be limited this season after serving as second fiddle to players like Fede Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga.
After the image went viral, rumours quickly surfaced about Modric wanting to join Inter Miami, which is partially owned by David Beckham. Inter Miami have been in the spotlight for the past couple of months after they made a huge signing of Lionel Messi. Following the Argentine, his former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba also joined the MLS club.
With Jude Bellingham proving to be a great addition to the Spanish club, Modric’s position at Real Madrid has been in danger even further. Keeping all these factors in mind, the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner might choose to shorten his contract, which is due to expire after this season anyway.
With Inter Milan currently playing amazingly in their past few matches, Modric might be interested in joining the newly refurbished squad. The club was doing poorly earlier but has improved heavily after the signings of Messi, Alba, and Busquets. However, nothing has been confirmed by either David Beckham or Luka Modric yet, nor has anything been revealed about what was discussed in their meeting.
