Cristiano Ronaldo reacted sarcastically after learning that he missed out on the top 10 players list for 2023 from the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS). Notably, the 38-year-old has been one of the top performers in football while playing for Al-Nassr and Portugal in 2023, which led to his seemingly unhappy response to the IFFHS list.

After leaving Manchester United for Al-Nassr at the turn of 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in some scintillating form on the football pitch, scoring 53 goals for club and country. He also contributed with 15 assists in 58 matches in the ongoing year, playing a key role in taking Portugal to the UEFA Euro 2024 with an undefeated qualification campaign.

IFFHS released their top 10 player list for the year 2023, naming Erling Haaland in the first position ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi. When a Portuguese news outlet, A Bola, shared the post of IFFHS on their official Instagram account, Cristiano Ronaldo let his feelings known about missing out on their top 10 players list with four sarcastic emojis.

A Bola highlighted the response of the Portuguese football superstar in one of their next posts on Instagram, captioning it, “Cristiano Ronaldo reacted to our post about the IFFHS rankings of the best players of 2023. The captain of the national team felt like laughing when he saw the elected ones. Do you think the Portuguese deserved to be on the list?”

The players outside the top three on the IFFHS list are Rodri, Jude Bellingham, Kevin De Bruyne, Harry Kane, Bernardo Silva, Vinicius Jr, and Lautaro Martinez (in the same order).
