According
to emerging reports, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is likely to unveil
FIFA World Cup 2022 Trophy in Qatar. The trophy is set to be unveiled at Lusail
Iconic stadium ahead of the World Cup finals on Sunday (December 18).
Deepika is
expected to take a flight to Qatar to participate in the tournament. With this
development, the 36-year-old will become the first actress to receive the huge honour
in the world’s most-watched sports event in the world. Earlier this year, she was
part of the jury at the 75th Cannes Film Festival in France.
Last month,
the Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi attended the FIFA match between Brazil and
Portugal. Furthermore, she delivered an electrifying performance at the FIFA Fan
Fest to the FIFA World Cup anthem 'Light The Sky'. With a crowd of 70-80k, the reports
confirmed that it was the biggest turnout at the FIFA fanfest.
Although India is not participating in the tournament, the influence of these stars on the Indian fraternity will push the television ratings. Certainly, Deepika’s presence in FIFA WC will put India’s name on the world map yet again.
