After Pakistan's victory on Sunday, some celebratory videos from Kashmir surfaced that raised a ruckus on social media. However, the Srinagar police has stated that the videos are half a decade old and the circulation of such fake videos needs to be stopped.

Pakistan had a sweet taste of revenge as they defeated India in the Asia Cup 2022 Super Fours on Sunday after losing to their arch-rivals in the group stage.

The claimed video of celebration in Kashmir over Pakistan's win in the Asia Cup 2022 against India included a firework display but the Srinagar Police has clarified that the videos are half a decade old from Nawakadal chowk in Srinagar.

Srinagar Police took to their official Twitter handle and wrote, "The video is half a decade old from Nawakadal chowk. Don't spread fake news and sensationalism by circulating old videos. Nothing of this sort reported from anywhere. #FakeNewsAlert "

Talking about the Asia Cup 2022, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have won their Super Fours openers against Afghanistan and India respectively. Team India will next face Sri Lanka on September 6 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium while Pakistan and Afghanistan will face each other on the next day.
