Playing at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy stadium where the Men in Blue won the toss and elected to bat first. Coming to this game, Sharma was out on duck twice in this series and was hoping to break that streak.
Hence as he faced off against Fareed Ahmad, the Indian captain tried to leg glance. As the ball went down the leg-side for a boundary, the umpire declared it to be four leg-byes. A couple of balls later, Sharma released that he was still on a duck and enquired to the umpire if he had called it leg-byes. Then the Indian captain expressed he had hit the ball and that he already had two ducks. He said, " Are Viru, you gave it leg byes? it hit the bat man. I already have 2 zeros."
