Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time F1 world champion, in an exclusive interview, stated that his new team Ferrari has “every ingredient to win” the drivers’ and constructors’ championship this season. After Ferrari launched their F1 car for the 2025 edition, the 40-year-old spoke about his experience of driving the SF-25 at the their Fiorano test track on Wednesday, February 19, pointing out that it feels like a car he is adjusting well with.
Notably, over the past few weeks, Lewis Hamilton drove the 2023 and 2024 cars of Ferrari in testing before getting a chance to be in the 2025 car a day ago, as per the report from BBC Sport. Now, the SF-25 will be taken to Bahrain, where the Briton will drive it during the official three-day F1 pre-season testing, starting on February 26, to have the best possible preparation in his quest to win the record eighth world championship.

In his exclusive interview with BBC Sport, Lewis Hamilton alluded to the passion within the Ferrari team, which could propel them to championship glory in the first season with him. He was quoted as saying, “From seeing the passion, everything under one roof, which I've never experienced before, this team has absolutely every ingredient to win. But we're also aware we have to continue to work. We have to improve and elevate everywhere - not everywhere but in certain areas, and I have no doubt that we can do that.”
As per the latest report, this week Lewis Hamilton has been staying at the factory motorhome, to best acclimatise with the Ferrari team ahead of the 2025 F1 season. He remarked, “I have genuinely loved every day I have been here. It's a place you genuinely don't really want to leave in the day. Everything's here. Even my motorhome is here so I don't ever leave.”
Moreover, the first race of the new F1 season this year, the Australian Grand Prix, is set to go down from March 14 to 16 in Melbourne.
