Indian fans went berserk after the team displayed a poor show with the bat during the second Test against New Zealand . The second game of the three-match series between India and the Black Caps kicked off on Thursday, October 24, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. The opening day saw Washington Sundar and Ravichandran Ashwin wreaking havoc and the Kiwi batters posted 259 runs on the scoreboard. The hosts came on the back of an eight-wicket loss against the Kiwis, and they aim to level the series, in order to avoid breaking their 12-year-old win streak at home in the longest format.
In return, Rohit Sharma and Co. couldn’t get a good start as they lost wickets in quick succession. The Indian skipper was first to return on a nine-ball duck. Shubman Gill, who returned to the game after missing the series opener, could score only 30 runs. In fact, legendary batter Virat Kohli failed to play a decent inning and returned after scoring one run from nine balls. India found themselves in deep trouble as the Kiwi spinners destroyed their batting lineup.

India's batting didn't go well with fans and they took to X to slam the cricketers for the same.
By lunch break on Day 2, India had already lost seven wickets with 107 runs in 38 overs.
