German javelin thrower and 2016 Olympic Gold medalist Thomas Röhler recently posted a picture with the Indian athlete and 2020 Olympic Gold medalist Neeraj Chopra and 3-time Olympic champion Jan Železný in Turkey. The picture was posted with a caption that said, “FIVE OLYMPIC GOLDS in one picture.”

Neeraj Chopra is currently training at Belek, Turkey. The 24-year-old created history when he won in the Tokyo Olympics last year and became the first Indian athlete to win gold. Since then he has instantly become one of the largest sporting superstars in his home country. Earlier in the season, he created a new national record and broke his own record with a throw of 88.07m.

After winning the historic medal, Neeraj Chopra talked termed it a proud moment for him and his country’. He said, “It feels unbelievable. It is the first time India has won gold in athletics, so I feel very good. We have just one gold here in other sports. This is our first Olympic medal for a very long time, and in athletics, it is the first time we have gold, so it's a proud moment for me and my country."

"There was no pressure and I was taking it (Olympics) just like any other event. It was like I have played against these athletes before and there was no reason to worry. I was able to focus on my performance. That has helped me win gold.”

"I was just focussing on Olympics this year. Now that I have won the gold, I will plan ahead for the upcoming competitions. After coming to India, I will again look for a foreign visa to take part in international events," he added.

Last month, Neeraj Chopra received the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India. The 24-year-old javelin thrower received the prestigious award in a ceremony from President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
