Sergio Ramos, the former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain defender, has agreed to join Galatasaray on a free transfer, according to Turkish media reports. The 37-year-old Spanish international, who left PSG at the end of last season, has accepted a two-year contract offer from the Turkish champions, which would see him earn around $6 million per year.

However, Ramos has one condition for joining Galatasaray, he wants to play in the UEFA Champions League. The Istanbul club is currently playing in the qualifying round of the competition and needs to overcome Molde to move forward. Ramos is waiting for the outcome of this tie before signing his contract with Galatasaray.

Ramos is keen to continue his illustrious career in Europe's elite club competition, where he has won four titles with Real Madrid.  The defender left PSG after spending only two seasons with the French giants, where he struggled with injuries and form. He made 58 appearances in all competitions and missed out on the Euro 2020 squad for Spain, ending his record of playing in 10 consecutive major tournaments for his country.

Galatasaray are confident that they can seal the deal for Ramos, who is one of the most decorated defenders in the history of the game. Ramos would be a huge coup for Galatasaray, who are aiming to win their 24th league title and make an impact in Europe. They are also hoping to attract more fans and sponsors with the signing of Ramos, who has a huge global fan base and influence.
