In another mas sive pop-cultural crossover, another Golden State Warrior and a K-Pop boy band sensation linked up. This crossover sprouted up as Suga, a member of the K-Pop band BTS, posted a photo of him holding up a custom Warriors jersey with the number 3 that received millions of likes. Similarly, the photo also received a response from Dub-nation royalty Stephen Curry.

The 2021-22 NBA Finals MVP also hinted at meeting the KPOP star in person as he posted, “Love the jersey SUGA!! See you soon,” with a flight emoji. This meeting of these greats is actually possible as the Golden State Warriors have confirmed travelling to Japan along with the Washington Wizards for two 2022 preseason games in the Saitama Super Arena. This travel plan coincides with Suga’s world tour in Japan which has been trending on the internet.

Last season, Golden State's Andrew Wiggins also had a viral moment with a supporter and a POP star BamBam, who is a member of the GOT7 band. The Thai musician posted on his Instagram that he was "very honoured to be named as the Golden State Warriors' Global Ambassador."

Now talking about the 2022-23 season, Curry has expressed excitement about defending their title. He also revealed how he is ready to play the full 36 minutes this year. He said, “Very excited about what it means to come into this season trying to defend, knowing that there will be new challenges for everybody as a team and everybody individually, and embracing it. The championship glow is real,” Curry said. “I know I can play 36 (minutes) and feel great every single night. That’s me as a competitor.”

Curry also addressed the Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetakoumpo calling him the best player in the league. He said,  “Thanks for telling me that,” Curry said. “I was thinking the same thing about him last year when he was coming off his championship. I don't know if it was gamesmanship. I would've said the same thing about the champions. I said the same thing about him last year. I appreciate the compliment. It's not going to soften me at all. Thank you, Giannis.”
