Indian Street Premier League’s (ISPL) first edition commenced on March 6, 2024, in Thane, Mumbai. It is the first-ever T-10 tennis ball tournament being played professionally and includes teams owned by big personalities across the Indian entertainment industry. The ISPL T10 tournament is also making headlines for its unique rules including the  Ti p-Top toss.

It will be played in T10 format, which aims to provide a platform to the budding cricketers, and gives them the big stage to achieve their dreams in professional cricket. There are many rules which are similar to the ones used in street cricket across the world.   Check the top betting trends on the  best betting sites in India  and apps.

Apart from the general rules of professional cricket, it has introduced new rules like 9 street runs which are given if the ball lands among the audience, 50-50 over rule, which states that a particular team sets a target to the opposite team, and if the other team couldn’t complete it, then there will be a reduction of runs from the score and the tape ball over which allows a team to use a tape ball for one or two overs.

One such rule that attracted the viewers in the exhibition match between Sachin Tendulkar and Akshay Kumar's teams followed by the first match of the ISPL, was the toss conducting method, which looks similar to the street cricket rule. Tip-Top toss method is a traditional form of method that is used in the streets regularly.

In this method, the two captains or players stand against each other at a particular point. After that, they make their way towards one another with every step touching heel-to-toe. Moreover, the one who touches the other’s toe first will be regarded as the winner of the toss.
