Punjab Kings batters were on fire in the ongoing IPL 2025 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. PBKS posted the second highest total of the ongoing season after SRH’s 286/6 against Rajasthan Royals. With skipper Shreyas Iyer leading from the front with an 82-run knock, PKBS smashed 245 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Batting first, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh gave PBKS a fiery start as they duo put up a partnership of 66 runs in four overs. Arya got out after smashing a quickfire 36 runs off 13 balls with two fours and four sixes while Prabhsimran scored 42 off 23 balls hitting seven fours and a six. After that, Shreyas Iyer took charge of the innings and played a captain’s knock of 82(36) runs, hitting six fours and as many sixes.

Marcus Stoinis also gave finishing touches as he smashed four consecutive sixes on the last four balls of the innings against Mohammed Shami taking SRH to a mammoth total of 245 runs. Stoinis remained unbeaten on 34*(11) with one four and four sixes.
However, chasing the winning target, SRH also got a great start as Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head are heading towards a massive opening partnership.
