Indian upcoming star Rajat Patidar spoke about observing batting great  Virat Kohli in the nets to improve his game. Patidar was drafted into the Indian Test squad fo r the England series alongside Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar and Washington Sundar after KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja were ruled out due to injury.

Ahead of the second Test,  Rajat Patidar spoke to BCCI TV and discussed his journey into the Indian team. The Madhya Pradesh batter delved into his comeback from injury which kept him out of action for a year. The Royal Challengers Bangalore star further revealed how he takes inspiration from  Virat Kohli and observes his footwork in the nets.

Rajat Patidar said, " I always observe Virat Kohli's batting from the back of the nets.  His footwork and body movement is amazing. I always try to follow him.  I enjoy watching him bat and want to add those skills to my game. It's not easy, but I will keep at it."

The RCB batter also shared his learnings from the Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Patidar said, " I observe how Rohit bhai tackles the field position and try to add these learnings into my game. That's my only focus."
