Chris Eubank Jr. is eager to challenge Canelo Alvarez, who is the current IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion. The 33-year-old is certain that he can give the undisputed champion more than a few difficulties after defeating Liam Smith in their rematch earlier this month. He acknowledges that the Mexican will decide whether or not to proceed with the fight.

Conor Benn, Kell Brook, and Gennady Golovkin have all received criticism from Eubank in the past, but Canelo seems to be at the top of his list of targets. The Mexican has already defeated a number of British boxers, including John Ryder, Matthew Hatton, Ryan Rhodes, Amir Khan, Liam Smith, and Callum Smith.
“Canelo goes where the money is,” Eubank told Sky Sports in an interview. “I can't think of any bigger money fights than me versus Canelo. I know he (Cancelo Alvarez) wants to fight in the UK, it's a huge market. There aren't many other guys there that people would like to see fight more than me and Alvarez. He's one of those guys, he really does make the rules.” Eubank added further.
Eubank acknowledges that the champion holds the initiative, even though he would enjoy a bout with Alvarez. “You can't target Canelo Alvarez, Whenever he wants to come and fight, he'll fight. He'll look at the options and say, ‘OK yeah, that's going to be a good money fight, I think I can beat him.’ And he just does what he wants.” said the Englishman. “So, I'm not really so much targeting him. If it comes, great. You can't chase him. He does what he wants,” Eubank added further.

The 57-year-old Eubank has had a great boxing record so far. Out of 36 fights, he has won 33, of which 24 were by knockout and nine by decision. However, his only three losses have come against Billy Joe Saunders, George Groves, and Liam Smith.
