Norwegian golfer Viktor Hovland had a hilarious first round on day one of the British Open 2023. Hovland was playing the 15th hole at the Open Championship on Thursday, and while pulling his second shot, he had to back away from the shot due to an unwelcome guest. While approaching the shot, a bird dropped sh*t on his right sleeve.

The golfer was left bewildered for a moment and was heard saying, “What was that” looking at his caddie. Not only this, but the 25-year-old was also heard saying, "I just got sh** on,” leaving the audience, fans and the broadcasting announcers in splits. Hovland quickly turned to his caddie and got the mess cleaned up before finishing at the par on the 15th hole.

One of the announcers was heard saying, “You know, that’s good luck.” Speaking of Hovland’s first round at the championship, the young golfer started the round slowly, but closed the nine holes with three birdies and a bogey, finishing at the T19 position.
The Norwegian has played 19 tournaments and made it to every cut, with being on Top 25s for 14 times, Top 10s to seven times and one victory yet. At The Masters, Hovland stood at T7 and T2 at the PGA Championship, whereas ending the US Open at 19th position and third at THE PLAYERS Championship.
